This test allows to simultaneously assess the state of oxygen-gas metabolism, acid-base balance and the level of vital electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium), as well as lactate. It is of particular value in patients in critical conditions, such as cardiorespiratory failure, shock, intoxication, or severe metabolic disorders. The analysis data helps the doctor to make quick decisions on therapy correction and monitoring of treatment effectiveness.
