Blood gas and electrolyte studies are important for assessing body function, in particular for monitoring the state of oxygen-gas exchange, acid-base balance, as well as the level of essential electrolytes, such as sodium, potassium, calcium. This study is used to assess the condition of patients in critical and unstable conditions, such as heart and respiratory failure, shock, renal failure, intoxication.
Biological material: arterial or venous blood, using a special syringe with lithium heparin
Performance time: 5 minutes (the result is received in the EMB after 15 minutes).
