Class G antibodies are produced to the toxoplasma antigen in acute, subacute, chronic and latent forms of toxoplasmosis after 3-4 weeks from the date of infection. Class G antibodies usually persist for life (they do not allow to judge the duration and severity of the process) They perform a protective function and prevent reinfection in the vast majority of cases.
