Description of the service
Bacteriological examination of nasal mucus (nasal culture) is performed to detect bacteria (except anaerobes) and fungi Candida spp. in patients with symptoms of rhinitis or rhinosinusitis.
The most common pathogens of acute bacterial rhinosinusitis: Streptococcus pneumoniae - 38%, Haemophilus influenzae - 36%, Moraxella catarrhalis - 16%, Beta-hemolytic streptococci group A, Staphylococcus aureus.
