Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is the main transport form of cholesterol, carrying it mainly in the form of cholesterol esters. The level of LDL is better correlated with the risk of atherosclerosis than the level of total cholesterol.

Indications for use:

Rules for patient preparation (unless otherwise prescribed by a physician):

• Fast for 4 hours before the test, avoid fatty foods. You can drink water.
• For children under 1 year of age - it is advisable to observe the maximum possible interval between feedings or take the test immediately before the next feeding.
