Screening test for the assessment of coagulation factor deficiency and monitoring of treatment with indirect anticoagulants
International Normalized Ratio (INR) is a method of expressing the results of prothrombin time tests. It is recommended by the WHO to unify the results of prothrombin time, taking into account the activity of thromboplastin, which may have different sensitivity. The international normalized ratio is used to monitor therapy with indirect anticoagulants.
