Orthokeratology (night vision correction) is a non-surgical method of correcting myopia in children and adults using rigid gas-permeable contact lenses that are worn at night and change the shape of the cornea. The effect is achieved due to the impact of the night lens on the front surface of the eye, which allows you to temporarily improve your vision during the day without the need to wear glasses or conventional contact lenses.
The procedure is prescribed for patients over the age of 6. After examination and complete diagnostics of vision, the ophthalmologist individually selects the lens parameters for each patient. Lenses are tried on for half an hour to assess their fit and check visual acuity. In most cases, the procedure is repeated 2-3 times to achieve optimal results. Lenses are selected separately for each eye.
