Spirography (spirometry) is a simple, affordable and non-invasive method of diagnosing common diseases of the respiratory system that assesses the mechanical function of the lungs, chest and respiratory muscles by measuring lung flows and volumes using a spirometer. This manipulation is performed by a Patronage Specialist at home, subject to the rules of preparation. Before the examination it is necessary:

• Do not use bronchodilators (drugs that affect the functioning of the bronchi) for 12 hours;
• Do not smoke for at least 4 hours;
• The procedure is performed on an empty stomach or after a light breakfast (2 hours interval).
