The test is based on an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay that uses specific antibodies to detect Helicobacter pylori antigens in feces. It is one of the most sensitive and specific methods for detecting Helicobacter pylori infection, especially in the stage of active infection. The test is minimally invasive and convenient, since the patient can collect a stool sample at home. However, this test provides only a preliminary result and requires additional interpretation by a doctor.
