Allergy marker
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is responsible for the development of immediate allergies. The half-life of IgE in the blood serum is 3-5 days, and on the membranes of mast cells and basophils - up to 14 days. Normally, IgE makes up less than 0.001% of all immunoglobulins in the blood serum and is synthesized by plasma cells located in the spleen, tonsils, adenoids, as well as in the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, stomach and intestines.
