Our Center concentrates methods that provide a full cycle of diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The structure of the Center includes a network of polyclinics where you can get a consultation with an oncologist or a narrower specialist, as well as a multidisciplinary hospital, which has a specialized oncological surgery department and provides auxiliary palliative care.
The diagnostic department with screening programs and a full range of oncological examinations includes diagnostics of diseases of all the most important localizations:
- lungs, head and neck, breast (mammary) and thyroid, gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system and soft tissues.
At your service:
- a modern Hologic class 1 mammography machine with a stereotactic attachment for biopsy of non-palpable breast tumors;
- Toshiba multislice CT scanner of the latest model;
- expert-class endoscopy from Olympus with NBI function and magnifying mode for diagnosing early gastric and colon cancer, as well as monitoring precancerous background conditions of the mucosa;
- modern Toshiba MRI with screening oncology programs and pseudo-PET.
How does our Dobrobut Oncology Center work?
All over the world, the final decision on the use of a particular treatment regimen is made by a special oncology commission consisting of several oncologists. In our Center, according to the order of the Ministry of Health, an oncology commission (multidisciplinary oncology commission, MDT) is organized, which meets weekly on Fridays, or as needed.
The commission includes:
- Head of the oncology department of the Dobrobut Medical Center
- Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Dorobut Medical Center for Surgery;
- Head of the diagnostic center of the Dobrobut Medical Center;
- scientific supervisor of the surgical department, MD;
- oncologists and radiologists.
Dobrobut Medical Center has organized a specialized consultation with clinical oncologists to resolve the issue of clarifying the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. After the initial consultation, we decide together with you how and where to undergo the necessary examination. The contact center coordinators will accompany you at any stage to the right specialist and advise you on the proper preparation for diagnostic procedures.
Department of oncological surgery
Among the areas of the surgical stage of treatment, the Center performs operations on the mammary gland, thyroid gland, gastrointestinal tract, performs unique hybrid operations for colon and rectum, stomach cancer, and performs operations of any complexity for gynecological diseases. All surgeries are performed using minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopy and surgery of natural access to cavities.
Drug therapy programs are based on the study of an individual tumor profile together with the specialists of the CSD HealthCare laboratory on the basis of immunohistochemical and molecular studies of tumor tissue samples, the study of various mutations in genes, etc.
The Oncology Department provides a full range of inpatient services:
- support and full provision of inpatient care for the surgical stage of treatment;
- development and support of chemotherapy courses according to the treatment protocol;
- supportive and palliative care.
The Diagnostic and Oncology Departments are located in Kyiv at the 24/7 Dobrobut Multidisciplinary Medical Center on Simi Idzykovskoi Street (right bank) and the 24/7 Dobrobut Multidisciplinary Medical Center on Mykola Bazhana Avenue (left bank).
Support and palliative care for patients is provided in Kyiv at the Dobrobut Medical Center for Adults in the Medical City at 3 Liubomyr Huzara Avenue and 24/7 Dobrobut Medical Center at 3 Simi Idzykovskikh Street.
