Coagulogram (hemostasiogram) - an analysis of blood coagulation, which shows the risk of bleeding or thrombosis in a patient. The mechanism of the coagulation system is complicated: on the one hand, it is necessary to maintain the ability to form blood clots to prevent massive blood loss, and on the other hand, it is important to maintain the liquid state of the blood for its unhindered circulation through the vessels.

Problems with the regulation of the coagulation system are common, so the analysis is highly demanded.

The combination of the affordable price of a coagulogram in Kyiv and the high accuracy of the results obtained is the main principle of laboratory diagnostics at the Dobrobut MC clinic.

Who is assigned a blood clotting test

Research is required for patients in such situations:
  • spontaneous abdominal bleeding;
  • the appearance of bruises with minimal trauma or for no apparent reason;
  • acute and chronic vascular diseases;
  • severe liver disease;
  • systemic connective tissue diseases;
  • control of blood clotting with long-term use of anticoagulants;
  • preparation for invasive diagnostic manipulations, operations, childbirth.

The cost of a hemostasiogram is not included in the standard preventive examination, however, the analysis is included in the advanced health check-up programs. Periodic blood clotting tests are recommended for people at high cardiovascular risk to assess the likelihood of developing heart attacks, strokes, and other acute complications.

Preparing and conducting a coagulogram

Special preparation for diagnosis is not required. It is enough for the patient to refrain from breakfast in the morning on the day of blood donation, and 30 minutes before the examination, one should not smoke. In the morning it is allowed to drink unsweetened non-carbonated water, you should not drink coffee, strong tea, packaged juices.

To make the results more accurate, it is advisable to exclude alcohol intake for 1-2 days before blood sampling. If a person is taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, they are usually not canceled at the time of diagnosis, but this point is best discussed with the attending physician.

Before the examination, the patient visits a general practitioner or specialized doctor. At the consultation, you can ask questions about how a blood test for coagulation is performed and how much it costs.

Blood sampling is performed in a manipulation room in compliance with the rules of asepsis and antisepsis. The nurse takes a blood sample from a vein in the arm, places the biomaterial in a special tube with a preservative that prevents blood clots. The blood is then transported to a laboratory where the test is carried out and the results are issued.

What does the coagulogram show, the cost of analysis

In the blood coagulation system, there are external, internal, and general pathways for the activation of substances that are necessary for the formation of blood clots during bleeding. To assess the external coagulation pathway, the following indicators are used:

  • prothrombin index (PTI) - a comparative assessment in percent of the clotting time of the studied blood sample and the conditional norm for an adult healthy person;
  • prothrombin time - the time of formation of a blood clot after the addition of special reagents to a blood sample;
  • international normalized ratio (INR) is a standardized indicator of the prothrombin test, which is used in international recommendations.

The main indicator of the internal mechanism of coagulation is activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). To evaluate it, special reagents are added to the sample, after which the clot formation time is estimated in seconds.

The price of a blood coagulation test in Kyiv also includes an assessment of the general coagulation pathway, the activity of which is reflected by 2 indicators:

  • fibrinogen - a protein that, under the influence of certain factors, turns into dense fibrin and creates the basis for a dense blood clot;
  • thrombin time - the time interval during which a thrombin clot is formed.

Depending on the indications and the degree of clotting disorders, doctors may prescribe a complete or partial hemostasiogram. How much a coagulogram analysis cost depends on the number of parameters studied. When referring for diagnostics, the specialist makes notes of the values \u200b\u200bof interest to the laboratory.

Hemostasiogram results

The study is carried out in the laboratory on a modern hemostasis analyzer (coagulometer). The standard cost of a blood clotting test in Ukraine assumes a non-urgent execution within 24-48 hours. After the diagnosis is completed, the laboratory assistant issues a form of results indicating the norm and values of coagulation parameters in a particular patient.

An increase in APTT and INR, a decrease in PTI and the amount of blood fibrinogen are dangerous signs that indicate a high risk of spontaneous hemorrhages and bleeding. An increase in fibrinogen with a decrease in the APTT value is a typical picture in patients with increased thrombus formation. A possible deviation of just one indicator from the norm is also valuable diagnostic information for the doctor.

To decipher the results of the study, you should seek the advice of a specialist. A medical appointment is not included in the price of a hemostasiogram in Kyiv, but only a doctor can correctly interpret the data and make a diagnosis.

Passing a blood test for coagulation is a simple and affordable method for assessing the state of the blood system. If you have been assigned such a study, you must do it as soon as possible to avoid dangerous complications. In the medical center MC "Dobrobut" the procedure is carried out by appointment without waiting in line.

You can sign up for a coagulogram by phone or through a request in the feedback form.
