Somnocheck micro Cardio sleep monitoring is the screening procedure that allows reading, recording and assessing bioelectric signals of a person while sleeping. The examination is performed to determine breathing problems while sleeping (sleep apnea) and to assess the cardiac system functioning for the patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Data recording during the examination is performed using the compact apparatus attached to the patient’s shoulder. A pulseoxymetry device connected with the apparatus is attached to the patient’s finger and measures the level of oxygen enrichment of the blood, pulse and pulse wave, and a nasal prong is used to measure the breathing airflow of the patient while sleeping and auditory signals (snoring).
The monitoring is performed in order to detect cardiorespiratory disorders in the patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases to control their condition and for therapeutic control purposes. The examination allows detecting the risk of cardiovascular diseases in patients before pathological states develop.
