PCR for chlamydia is one of the most effective methods for detecting chlamydia. Operational diagnostics demonstrate high accuracy rates (the analysis is ready in a couple of days). Analysis of chlamydia by PCR makes it possible to identify the causative agent of the disease at the earliest stages and regardless of the location of the infection.

It is especially important for all girls of reproductive age to monitor their health and follow all the recommendations of their doctor. A timely examination will help to avoid many problems and dangerous diseases.

In the clinics of MC "Dobrobut", you can take PCR for chlamydia at an affordable price. Modern methods of research will provide reliable results of the analysis.

Chlamydia - what is it?

A sexually transmitted infectious disease can cause great damage to the human body. Chlamydia destroys living cells, but the worst thing is that these unicellular parasites can not manifest themselves for a long time. A person does not feel anything unusual, and meanwhile, a dangerous disease is already causing irreparable harm to his health. Chlamydia depresses the immune system and may be accompanied by other equally serious diseases: Staphylococcus aureus, fungal flora.

All future mothers are required to pass PCR for chlamydia in Kyiv. Usually, a referral is issued for a consultation with a gynecologist, and in no case should it be ignored. The health of the woman herself, as well as her baby, depends on this.

PCR for chlamydia: when to take

The analysis is prescribed as a preventive measure for women planning to become mothers, and also without fail if there are such symptoms:

  • severe burning and pain during urination;
  • discharge with abundant impurities of mucus;
  • staining of urine in a darker color, its turbidity;
  • general weakness and malaise;
  • high body temperature.

If you do not take PCR for chlamydia in time and do not start effective therapy, dangerous complications may develop. Chlamydia is especially dangerous for pregnant women because it can cause premature birth, miscarriage, fetal growth retardation, and even death.

Analysis for chlamydia by PCR: features of the study

To diagnose chlamydia, a smear or scraping is taken. For the study to show the correct result, it is important to refrain from sexual intercourse for a couple of days, and not to go to the toilet two hours before the procedure.

Women are advised to take an analysis for chlamydia by PCR immediately after the end of menstruation. The gynecologist takes biological material from the cervix, vagina, and urethra.

What will PCR show for chlamydia

The result of the analysis for chlamydia by PCR can be as follows:

  • Detected. This means that the biomaterial contains Chlamydia trachomatis DNA.
  • Not found. In this case, the result means that no infectious agent, chlamydia, was found in the patient's biomaterial. If a girl has an inflammatory process, then another pathogen became its cause. In this case, the doctor will prescribe additional tests.

You can get a referral for chlamydia analysis by PCR at a consultation with a gynecologist. The cost of the study at the Dobrobut Reproductive Health Clinic can be clarified by calling the phone number indicated on the website.

PCR for chlamydia remains the most informative method for detecting chlamydia in Ukraine, as well as in other countries. Remember that a timely appeal to a specialist is the key to your good health and happy motherhood.
