In classical plantography, the patient is painted on the feet and asked to stand on a blank sheet of paper, leaving an imprint of the foot. The contours of the print are assessed by a specialist (orthopedist), who gives an opinion on the condition of the feet.

With computerized plantography, the patient stands on the glass platform of the plantograph, on which a special scanner is installed, which makes a high-quality footprint.
