Washing the attic
The attic is the upper pocket of the middle ear (eardrum). In inflammatory processes of the attic, an accumulation of pus is observed, which is the cause of the chronic process. This accumulation of infection causes epitympanitis, which in the middle ear region affects the mucous membrane and bones of the middle ear. The presence of an infectious process requires washing the space.
Lavage of the attic is a procedure aimed at flushing the eardrum with medications to prevent the spread of infection.
