BioHorizons healing abutment
During the procedure an incision of the mucous membrane over the implant and the replacement of the cover screw for a healing abutment are performed.
Duration of the service: 15–20 minutes, performed by a surgeon dentist of a dental unit.
The procedure has no age restrictions. A patient should undergo a preliminary check-up by a surgeon dentist and a CT if necessary.
Indications for the procedure
Indications for the procedure are as follows:
- 3–4 months on the lower jaw and 5–6 months on the upper jaw after the implantation.
Сontraindications for the procedure
Local contraindications:
- herpetic diseases of the buccal mucous membrane;
- unsatisfactory oral care.
General contraindications:
- cardiovascular diseases (pre-myocardial infarction and the period of 3–6 months after a myocardial infarction, hypertensive disease in the period of crisis);
- blood diseases;
- mental illnesses during the periods of acute exacerbation.
Cost of the procedure
The cost includes the doctor’s work in the process of the surgery, medications and expendable materials necessary for the intervention. Anesthesia, expendable dental materials, suturation are paid additionally.
