The procedure is performed by a surgeon dentist after advanced identification, CT evaluation and determination of indications.
A surgeon dentist makes an incision of the mucous membrane in the edentulous space, elevates a mucoperiosteal flap, makes an orifice in the lateral wall of the maxillary sinus, separates Schneider membrane covering the maxillary sinus cavity from the bone, creating enough space. The doctor fills the space with osteoplastic material or a mix of materials that subsequently turn into bone tissue of the patient.
Duration of the service: 60–70 minutes, performed by a surgeon dentist of a dental unit.
The procedure has no age restrictions. A patient should undergo a preliminary check-up by a surgeon dentist and a CT if required.
