The use of diode laser in dentistry
Diode laser is used in dentistry for correction of the gingival crest.
Duration of the procedure: 15–20 minutes, performed by surgeon dentist, prosthodontist, dental therapist of a dental unit.
There are no age restrictions.
Indications for the procedure
Indications for the procedure are as follows:
- correction of the gingival crest.
Сontraindications for the procedure
The procedure does not require a special preparation, however, there are some contraindications:
- gingival inflammation in the surgical site;
- herpetic diseases of the buccal mucous membrane.
General contraindications for the procedure:
- cardiovascular diseases (pre-myocardial infarction and the period of 3–6 months after a myocardial infarction);
- hypertensive disease in the period of crisis;
- blood diseases;
- mental illnesses during the periods of acute exacerbation.
Cost of the procedure
The cost of the procedure includes the doctor’s work in the process of the surgery, medications and expendable materials necessary for the intervention. Anesthesia is paid additionally.
