Symptoms are similar for various types of the pathology examined, the differences are only in the localization of the lesion. In case of children’s adenophlegmon, loss of appetite, hypersomnia, atony, no interest to games and people around are observed.
Treatment of adenophlegmon
- lancing of the suppurative focus is performed under local or general anesthesia;
- sanitation;
- a drain tube without wound suturing is placed;
- a sterile dressing that should be mandatorily replaced once a day is applied.
Antibiotics are used for the treatment of adenophlegmon, not only in the form of pills or injections, but also locally, for the abscess cavity lavage.
The prognosis is favorable with a timely request for qualified medical care. But we must not forget that there is a high risk of sepsis.
