Hyperpigmentation is an aesthetic skin problem that can be provoked by adverse external factors and age-related processes in the body. Hyperpigmentation is a common side effect of the sclerotherapy resulting in the major aesthetic losses during cosmetic procedures in phlebology.
Removal of the redundant pigment after the sclerotherapy is performed at Dobrobut clinic chain using IPL system.
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is the intense optical emission with a broad range of wave lengths. A flash gun is the source of light, additional filters help to set the required impact depth. Skin pigmentation deterioration is based on the thermal reaction that starts after the absorption of light energy by skin cells.
The IPL system is equipped with an additional cooling nozzle, which allows to reduce the skin temperature in the treated areas to 12–15 C. It provides additional comfort for the patient during the procedure, as it significantly reduces discomfort.
During the procedure, phlebologists use the AccuVein augmented reality system and the auxiliary Syris imaging system, which allow using contrast and infrared light to visualize the affected areas in more detail and to influence them more effectively.
The procedure has no restrictions and does not require special preparation.
The procedure takes not more than 1 hour.
