This minimally invasive endovascular surgical intervention is performed in an operating room under local anesthesia and intravenous anesthesia (if needed). By a surgical team (surgeon, surgical nurse) for the treatment in case of oncological disease, hemorrages, prostate adenoma, uterine fibroids (before their removal), as a preparation stage of a surgical intervention.
A surgeon performs the puncture of radial, brachial or common femoral artery or vein transcutaneously, injects a contrast agent into the target arterial or venous bed selectively for the fixation of the vascular pathology, then inserts intravascular conductors with the diameter of 0.035’’, 0.018’’, 0.014’’ using a guiding catheter into the target vascular basin and delivers the catheter for embolization according to “monorail” system. Performs non-selective or selective embolization of the vascular bed: with embolization spirals or microparticles. The end result is recorded with the contrast filling of the vascular basin on the angiograph in various projections. After the examination the surgical instruments are removed, and the hemostasis of the vascular access is performed.
Service duration: 60 to 180 minutes.
Indications for the procedure: data of the clinical picture, ultrasound of the target organ or CT angiography.
Contraindications for the procedure: allergic reaction to contrast agents.
Appointment for the surgical intervention is carried out only after a check-up by an endovascular surgeon of Dobrobut clinic chain.
The procedure has no age restrictions.
