Clinical Trial of a Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Begins

The Dobrobut Medical Network is recruiting patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) for an international Phase II clinical trial evaluating a modern subcutaneous therapy.

Participants will receive free treatment with an innovative monoclonal antibody medication, ongoing support from study physicians, all required laboratory and instrumental examinations within the study protocol, as well as organized transportation to the clinical site in Kyiv. Patients from all regions of Ukraine are invited to participate.

Key eligibility criteria include being between 18 and 65 years of age, having a confirmed diagnosis of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, evidence of disease activity (relapses or active MRI lesions) within one year prior to enrollment, a neurologically stable condition for more than 30 days before study initiation, and an Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score of no more than 5.5 (ability to walk independently).

The study has been approved by the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and an ethics committee and is being conducted in accordance with international Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

“For patients with multiple sclerosis, clinical trials provide an opportunity to access innovative treatment options under the continuous supervision of a dedicated medical team. These studies are conducted according to strict international standards, and the safety, rights, and interests of participants remain the highest priority at every stage. That is why every candidate undergoes a thorough screening process and receives ongoing medical support throughout the study,” said Kseniia Sekretna, Head of the Clinical Research Center at the Dobrobut Medical Network.

Patients with certain progressive forms of multiple sclerosis, active autoimmune diseases, severe infections, specific types of previous disease-modifying therapies, and other conditions defined by the study protocol are not eligible to participate.

Before enrollment, all candidates undergo a preliminary screening to assess whether they meet all required criteria. The final decision regarding participation is made by the research team after a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s health status.
