Endovascular invasive pressure measurement in cardiac chambers, aorta and pulmonary artery
It is the minimally invasive diagnostic intervention that is performed on a patient in an operating room, under local anesthesia and intravenous anesthesia (if needed) by a surgical team (surgeon, surgical nurse) to diagnose the invasive pressure in cardiac chambers and the pressure gradient between cardiac chambers and main vessels. A surgeon performs the puncture of the radial artery or the cubital vein transcutaneously with an intravascular hydrophilic conductor with the diameter of 0.035’’ introducing a diagnostic catheter into cardiac chambers and main vessels. The diagnostic catheter is connected with the vascular pressure monitor, examining and recording of the results is performed, the pressure gradient is determined. After the examination the surgical instruments are removed, and the hemostasis of the vascular accesses is performed.
