Coronarography

Description of the service: This is the method of X-ray examination of coronary arteries. The method uses contrast dye injected directly into the lumen of the coronary arteries and followed by a series of X-rays, which allow detecting atherosclerotic plaques, the degree of stenosis, myocardial bridging and others.

Service duration: procedure lasts for 30 minutes,operating room is reserved for 60 minutes.

The cost of the service includes:

work of the doctor while performing manipulations;

medications;

consumables for manipulation.

Price is according to the price list +

local anesthesia or anesthesia in an outpatient department up to 30 minutes (without the cost of medication)
medication and consumables for anesthesia
stay in the postoperative ward from 1 hour to 6 hours
consultation with an anesthesiologist (if anesthesia is provided in an outpatient department for up to 30 minutes (without the cost of medication)

Surgery team: endovascular surgeon, interventional cardiologist, operating room nurse, anesthesia nurse. Anesthesiologist is on request.

Indications: coronary heart disease, previous myocardial infarction (postinfarction cardiosclerosis), heart pain (angina), preparation for cardiac surgery.

No contraindications

Preparation:

The patient should not eat or drink before coronary angiography.
Patients hospitalized in the morning are advised to skip breakfast (lunch should be their last meal).
Patients with coronary angiography scheduled for the afternoon are allowed a light breakfast.
All patients, regardless of the time of coronary angiography, should take the tablets with a small amount of water in the morning according to the previously prescribed treatment regimen (except tablets for diabetes, especially those containing metformin and insulin – these should be skipped). In some cases, exceptions from this protocol are possible, which should be discussed with a doctor.
A patient should take with him all medical documents (statements, test results, doctor’s opinions and others).

No age restrictions

Contact center services: be at the center one hour before the examination procedure if it is scheduled and stay at the ward of the day hospital after the procedure.
