Pathohistological examination is the only type of the diagnostic procedure in medicine when the disease is seen directly. A pathohistological examination is performed after a biopsy (sampling) of the tissues with abnormal structure to determine character and severity of the disease. Before the examination the tissue goes through a series of manipulations that allow to obtain a thin section that is put on a transparent glass and painted. An anatomopathologist studies the received sample under the microscope.
Pathohistological study is the only official method that confirms the presence of an oncological disease. An oncologist can prescribe the treatment only based on an anatomopathologist’s report.
Chromogenic detection with light microscopy is one of the most effective methods of examination of tissues. The method allows not only to determine the nature of neoformations, but also to determine the amount of the genes that have caused the disease. Thus, the method gives the possibility to choose the most effective treatment approach for each patient.
Dobrobut clinic chain applies the first and only method of automatic two-tone coloring in Ukraine for the pathohistological examination that allows for the most accurate determining of the number of copies of the gene of our interest, and also to exclude medical errors during diagnostics. Our anatomopathologists use the quality system by Roche/Ventana certified by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to perform the examination.
Our anatomopathologists use American expendable materials that allow to receive quality preparations unprecedented in the Ukrainian market. A quality preparation significantly reduces the possibility of mispresentation by a doctor, which excludes the mistakes in determining a diagnosis.
Material and technical resources of the laboratory where pathohistological examinations are performed allows to receive reliable results within 1 or 2 days.
