Vascular pathologies can be congenital or acquired. Congenital pathologies are usually diagnosed at early age, the patients with detected diseases undergo the necessary treatment and are under the doctors’ control.
Acquired vascular pathologies may develop slowly and are often diagnosed during preventive examinations by family doctors.
The following symptoms may indicate the presence of problems with blood vessels of different localization:
- intermittent claudication (pain in the calves or thighs that occur while walking);
- pain in the lower extremities at rest;
- numbness (decreased sensitivity of the fingers, feet, entire limb);
- cold skin of the extremities;
- skin discoloration of limb segments (cyanosis, pallor, marbling, redness);
- restriction of movements in the limb;
- trophic skin disorders (ulcers, necrosis);
- pulsating formation or sensation of pulsation in the abdomen, neck, limbs;
- pulsating noise in the ears;
- blood pressure difference in the extremities;
- hemorrhages;
- edema;
- vascular formations - strengthening of the capillary pattern of the skin, dilated and convoluted subcutaneous vessels with or without pulsation;
- difficulty speaking, weakening of movements in the extremities, facial asymmetry, loss of field of vision, deterioration of visual acuity.
