Instrumental diagnostics in ophthalmology

The ophthalmology department of Dobrobut clinic chain has the following modern diagnostic equipment:

• pneumotonometer that is a modern device for rapid distant measuring of the intraocular pressure;
• refractometer that allows to select glasses, contact lenses and other vision correction tools as accurately as possible;
• computer perimeter to analyze the visual field;
• slit lamp that allows to see the eye ground in detail and the patient’s eye with high magnification;
• retinal camera that allows to make photos of the eye ground;
• dioptometers which are the devices for the most accurate lens measurement;
• chart panel to examine the visual acuity;
• optical coherence tomograph is a modern and non-invasive devise for the sectional examination of the retina and the optic nerve head, one of the best devices in the world for the moment that allows to see the structure of the retina and the optic nerve very clearly, to assess their parameters, thickness, changes, and also to control the course of the patient’s treatment; the device is used to diagnose glaucoma, diabetic retinal disease, macular dystrophy and other diseases.
