When you should visit an allergologist
Allergic reactions can have various manifestations. Some of them may appear quickly and disappear quickly, and others may last long, exhausting a person and significantly deteriorating the quality of life.
You should visit an allergologist-immunologist when the following symptoms have suddenly appeared or last for a long time:
- Redness and itching of the skin, urticaria;
- Nasal cold and tearing with a slight increase in temperature and headache;
- Shortness of breath, cough, difficulty breathing.
Some sudden body responses to irritants require urgent medical aid; these are anaphylactic shock that most of all is a reaction to medications, food allergy, allergy to insects, also bronchial asthma that causes severe cough and shortness of breath.
