Dopplerography of Blood Vessels
This examination method allows assessing the condition of blood vessels, their walls and gleams with simultaneous visualization of the Doppler spectrum of a blood stream.
Dopplerography of blood vessels allows assessing:
- vessel patency;
- changes in blood vessels;
- anatomical structure of blood vessels;
- congenital anomalies;
- availability of atherosclerotic changes;
- availability of thrombotic masses.
Contraindications
There are no absolute contraindications to Dopplerography. Relative (temporary) contraindications may include a severe general condition of a patient or other reasons for which the patient cannot lie down. For a child this may be hyperactivity reactions and psycho-emotional disorders when it is impossible to position a sensor on the vessel to be examined.
