To prevent the development of such a severe skin disease as melanoma, you should observe quantity, appearance and “behavior” of birthmarks on your body, and to visit a dermatologist at least once a year. In case a dermatologist finds potentially dangerous birthmarks, he or she may recommend removing them.

We use the modern high frequency radio wave method of birthmark removal using Surgitron or Bowa devices. The device transforms electric current into waves that cut soft tissues by force of the emitted heat. The method allows for bloodless removal of the finest layers of abnormal skin without damage to healthy tissues. The procedure is performed with local anesthesia and, as a rule, does not cause pain or discomfort, and the recovery is fast; the procedure leaves no scars. An undeniable advantage of the method is the fact that no infection can get in a wound.

The procedure lasts 30–45 minutes.

The radio wave method is used to remove:

  • papillomas, condylomas,
  • birthmarks,
  • keratomas,
  • starburst veins,
  • viral warts.

Advantages of the radio wave birthmark removal:

  • Minimal tissue damage;
  • Fast healing, no sutures;
  • Good cosmetic effect;
  • Absence of pain, edema, reducing the risk of wound infections in the postoperative period.

Other types of surgical treatment

Biopsy
Cryodestruction
Punch biopsy
Radio wave removal of skin neoplasms
Laser removal of skin neoplasms

Contraindications:

  • Elevated body temperature;
  • Acute herpes;
  • Pacemaker;
  • Menstrual period.

Description of the procedure of skin neoformation removal:

  • Anesthesia (infiltration or application)
  • Neoformation removal (the duration of the procedure depends on the dimensions and the number of formations) with further histopathological examination.
  • It is necessary to exclude the contact of a surgical wound with water and not to visit bathhouse and sauna in the cicatrization period. It is also mandatory to refrain from exposure to the sun.
