How to become our patient?
Call-center

Vascular system of a human penetrates in all the organs and tissues. Well-being and health of a person depends on the quality of blood circulation. Vessels, veins, capillaries and arteries nourish heart, brain, internal organs and limbs with blood, oxygen and nutrients.

If we sum up the length of all vessels and veins, there are more than 100 thousand vascular lines in the human body. No wonder that vascular diseases are considered to be the most common and take the first place in the world by mortality rate.

Angiology is the branch of medicine aimed at diagnostics and treatment and also methods of prevention of vascular diseases. The task of the doctors with the specialty in this field of medicine is to timely recognize the presence of a vascular pathology and to prevent its detrimental influence on the health of the patient in general.

Highly qualified specialists, such as phlebologists, vascular surgeons, X-ray endovascular surgeons, radiologists work at Dobrobut Angiology Center, whose task is to provide competent medical aid for the patients with vascular diseases in time.

Who needs a consultation with the specialists of the Center of Angiology

As mentioned above, there are vessels in every organ, so the symptoms that indicate the presence of vascular pathology can be very different depending on the location and nature of the problem. To recognize the presence of vascular diseases in time, it is important to visit a family doctor or therapist regularly.

The following symptoms may indicate the presence of various vascular diseases:

  • cooling (hypothermia), decreased sensitivity (hypoesthesia) of the distal extremities (fingers, foot, hand, forearm, leg);
  • soreness, numbness in the muscles of the extremities;
  • skin discoloration (redness, pallor, cyanosis, marbling);
  • discomfort at rest or during exercise;
  • pain when walking (lameness);
  • poor healing or non-healing of wounds in the feet and legs;
  • pain in the extremities at rest, which depends on body position (standing, lying down);
  • the sensation of pulsating formation in different parts of the body;
  • abdominal pain provoked by eating, weight loss;
  • arterial hypertension;
  • neurological disorders (visual disturbances, shakiness when walking, history of ischemic stroke, numbness and lack of movement in the extremities, difficulty speaking, facial asymmetry);
  • edema, a feeling of distension;
  • hematomas of different localization;
  • a sudden drop in blood pressure, anemia;
  • trophic ulcers of the extremities;
  • limb necrosis;
  • gangrene of the extremities;
  • vascular formations on the skin;
  • dilation and tortuosity of the subcutaneous veins.
The patient's lifestyle and the presence of concomitant diseases have a huge impact on the development of vascular pathologies. The risk group includes patients:
  • over 60 years;
  • with a genetic predisposition to vascular diseases (there were cases of heart attacks and strokes in the family);
  • with obesity and overweight;
  • who lead a sedentary lifestyle;
  • prefer fatty, spicy foods in the diet;
  • drink alcohol;
  • with diabetes mellitus;
  • with reduced tolerance to physical activity;
  • are in chronic stress.

Diagnosis

When diagnosing vascular pathologies, it is important to exclude the presence of comorbidities, as well as to make an accurate differential diagnosis, which allows distinguishing vascular diseases from diseases of other organs and systems.

It is also worth remembering that any chronic and systemic disease leads to circulatory disorders in the tissues of the diseased organ and can cause the development of vascular pathology.

To detect the presence of vascular diseases, the specialists of the Center of Angiology use:

  • laboratory tests;
  • determination of the ankle-shoulder index;
  • measurement of pressure in peripheral arteries;
  • ultrasound scanning of vessels of different localization;
  • CT with a contrast of different vascular basins;
  • selective angiography of various vascular basins;
  • MRI.

In the Center of Angiology "Dobrobut" in the arsenal of doctors modern accurate diagnostic equipment of premium class. Our radiologists are high-level experts whose opinions are listened to by their colleagues from other medical institutions.

Treatment

Doctors of the Angiology Center "Dobrobut" have extensive experience and vast knowledge in the field of diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases. Our specialists are constantly improving their skills and use knowledge of the latest developments in their practice.

Among the methods of treating vascular diseases, our doctors use:
  • medicinal;

With the help of medical methods, our doctors conduct:

  • correction of metabolic disorders (normalization of the lipid profile, homocysteinemia);
  • correction of arterial hypertension;
  • antithrombotic therapy (antiplatelets and anticoagulants);
  • pharmacotherapy of intermittent claudication;
  • thrombolysis.
  • surgical.

Surgical treatments include:

  • aneurysm resection;
  • vascular prosthetics;
  • carotid endarterectomy;
  • shunting of arteries;
  • open revascularization of the extremities (shunting of arteries, desobliteration of arteries);
  • endovascular (balloon angioplasty, stenting, thrombospiracy, vascular endoprosthesis) and hybrid interventions.
Angioplasty and stenting of the arteries of lower extremities in case of chronic occlusions
Angioplasty and stenting of renal and mesenteric arteries
Angioplasty and stenting of the carotid and vertebral arteries

Strengths of Dobrobut Angiology Center

A multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment is the basis for the fastest possible diagnosis of patients and the choice of an effective method of treatment.
We involve doctors of other specialties to participate in the examination and, if necessary, to the treatment.
We can carry out a comprehensive diagnosis of the disease, if necessary, in up to 1 hour, which allows us to save important time for the patient.
The Dobrobut diagnostic base is equipped with modern technology - a computed tomograph, a magnetic resonance imaging scanner, and ultrasound diagnostic devices.
Our doctors, vascular surgeons, are fluent in the methods of ultrasound diagnostics, which allows us to carry out ultrasound diagnostics at the initial examination without a separate visit.
After the surgical intervention, the patient is in the hospital.
Our methods of treatment allow the patient, sometimes after 24 hours of treatment in a hospital, to be discharged and continue to be treated at home, on an outpatient basis, periodically visiting a doctor for dressings.
Patient treatment is, first of all, an individual approach to everyone.
The priority of treatment is always a person's life, preserving the function of organs, saving limbs, improving the quality, and prolonging the patient's life.
We perform unique hybrid operations combining open surgery and minimally invasive endovascular technique.
This approach allows reducing the surgical trauma, the time the patient is under anesthesia, and, accordingly, reduce the time of the patient's subsequent hospitalization in the hospital for up to 2-3 days, followed by outpatient treatment.
All specialists of the department regularly attend national and international specialized conferences and congresses
Constantly and continuously improve their theoretical and practical skills.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients are diagnosed with thrombosis and embolism of large and small vessels, and urgent surgery is often required.
In our department, we can diagnose the presence of thrombosis/embolism as soon as possible and prescribe an effective treatment.
The specialists of our department are constantly (24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year) in touch, so they are ready to provide effective medical assistance at any time.
The cosmetic effect of scars after surgery is achieved by the method of a less effective incision during surgery and cosmetic suture techniques.
These scars will be barely noticeable.
